PALMTREE Magazine operates www.palmtreemag.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, contact us, or purchase a product.

Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with PALMTREE, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and information you provide through signup forms or correspondence.
- Account information when you register.
- Billing details, order information, and payment transaction references when you purchase.
- Download permissions and records associated with digital purchases.
- Technical information, including IP addresses, browser information, and activity recorded through cookies, website logs, and the tracking features described below.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate our website, manage accounts, process orders, deliver purchases, provide support, send newsletters, understand engagement with our content, protect against misuse, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Newsletters and email tracking
We use Sender to manage newsletter subscriptions and deliver emails. When you subscribe, your signup information is processed through Sender.
We use Sender to measure email opens and clicks on tracked links. Tracking images and links help collect this information, which can be associated with your email address. We use these reports to understand which content interests subscribers and improve our emails.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in each email. Unsubscribing does not stop necessary communications about an order or support request.
Orders and payments
Our shop uses WooCommerce to manage orders, accounts, and digital downloads.
The payment provider selected at checkout receives the information needed to process your payment and help prevent fraud. Payment providers handle that information under their own privacy policies. PALMTREE receives information needed to manage the transaction, including its status and reference number.
Service providers and disclosures
We use WP Engine for website hosting, Sender for newsletters, and the payment providers offered at checkout for payment processing. These services process information needed to perform their functions.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as login, shopping-cart sessions, and checkout.
We use WooCommerce’s order-attribution feature to understand how customers find our shop. It uses cookies to record referral sources, campaign information, device type, and page views during a visit. When an order is placed, this information is stored with the order.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser’s privacy settings. Restricting cookies may affect some website functions.
Embedded videos or other content from external platforms may collect information under those platforms’ privacy policies.
How long we retain information
We retain account information while needed to provide account access and support. Order and payment records are retained for as long as needed to meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Newsletter information is retained while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing emails and retain an unsubscribe record to honor your choice.
We review retained personal information annually and delete or anonymize records no longer needed. During that review, we remove routine support correspondence resolved more than two years earlier, unless it remains necessary for an ongoing matter, transaction record, or legal obligation.
Our WooCommerce store does not currently use automatic, age-based deletion of account and order records.
Your privacy choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
You can also contact vinik@palmtreemag.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We handle requests according to applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some information may need to be retained for legal or transaction-related purposes.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside your country of residence. Applicable data-protection requirements govern that processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or privacy practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
